LIBRARY NEWS & EVENTS— Monday, registration begins for high school students for a series of three free “Learn How to Learn” workshops; Tuesday, 10:30 am, Book Discussion Group, The Crucible by Arthur Miller; Tuesday, 3:00 pm, E-Reader Help Hour, get library materials for Kindle and other tablets; Wednesday, Movie Day at the Library: 11:00 am, The BFG & 6:00 pm, Florence Foster Jenkins; Thursday, 11:00 am, Mother Goose Time with Grace (ages 0-3); Thursday, 4:00 pm, Tail Waggin’ Tutors, skill-building for beginning readers; Friday is the last day of Food for Fines; Saturday is Christmas Eve and the Library is open normal hours, 10:00 am-2:00 pm.

PITCHFORKS CAROLING—The St. Petersburg High School acapella singing group with be at the library Friday December 16th from 2-2:45 to treat us to holiday caroling.

HOLIDAY YOUTH CAMP—Daily activities that include park play, gym games, arts and crafts and field trips each week. Camp dates: December 19-23 & 27-30th. Time: 7:00a-6p Fee: $30 a day. Camp will be closed Monday, December 26th and January 2nd for the Holidays. Register at St. Pete Beach Community Center, 7701 Boca Ciega Dr.

SENIOR EXCURSIONS HOSTED BY THE ST. PETE BEACH COMMUNITY CENTER- The St. Pete Beach Community Center has new Senior Excursions on the schedule for the fall. The excursions are a great way for local seniors to travel with their friends. The new trips are as followed: Dec 17: Holiday light viewing at Botanical Gardens and Largo Central Park (5-10pm) . All excursions will depart from the St. Pete Beach Community Center, 7701 Boca Ciega Dr. Trip times vary. All participants must pre-register by the Wednesday prior to the excursion. Each trip is $12 for residents of St. Pete Beach and $15 for non residents. 2017 PARKING PERMITS—are available December 15th through the Community Development Department at City Hall, 155 Corey Avenue, Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.– 3:30 p.m. For your convenience here is a link to instructions and application to fill out prior to coming to City Hall.

ST. PETE BEACH COMMUNITY EVENTS

 Sunday Market on Corey Avenue from 10am-2pm

 Movie night with the St. Pete Beach Firefighters. At Fire Station 23 Monday December 19th at 6:30 pm.

 The Community Development Department will host a Community Meeting to discuss and gather comments on the Proposed Pass-A-Grille form base code. The Community Meeting will be held on January 4th at 5:30 pm at the Warren Webster building, located at 1500 Pass-a-grille way, St. Pete Beach, FL 33706.

~HONOR WALK AT UPHAM BEACH—The 2016-2017 Brick Campaign has officially launched. Orders will be received from November 5, 2016 until March 17, 2017.
