The Helm on St. Pete Beach
The Helm: Provisions & Coastal Fare is now open on St. Pete Beach, offering a collaborative experience between their restaurant and their fresh market. This establishment is home to a restaurant and full craft cocktail bar, fresh seafood market, and pre-made items ready to take home.

Don’t feel like cooking dinner? No worries. When you enter through the doors you’ll lay eyes on their mouth-watering take-home items. Owners Heidi and Michael Butler, say that because they aren’t open for dinner, they are proud to sell to-go items that are made fresh daily and available to take to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.
Fresh seafood brought in daily
To the left is their fresh seafood selection and items are brought in fresh daily. Heidi says she got the idea because she saw there was a need for a fresh seafood market on this side of the beach. Ask any of the friendly staff to box up a delicious pre-made meal or some fresh seafood for you. There is something for everyone at The Helm.

Below are some of the menu items we got to try for ourselves and that we would recommend to anyone visiting for their first time.
She Crab Soup
We’re not saving the best for last here. This soup is jumbo lump crab made with a sherry reduction and it is out of this world. It was so smooth and creamy but not too heavy on the stomach and arrived warm to our table. It’s the perfect size to split with someone or enough to have as an entree.
Helm Salad
This Helm Salad was the perfect mixed greens salad with crispy prosciutto, fresh blueberries, blackberries, cherry tomatoes, and on top a lovely serving of fresh burrata. The dressing of choice was their shallot vinaigrette. You can also add a protein of your choice of either chicken, grouper, or shrimp.
Lobster Roll served in a Cigar Box
Served in a Cigar Box is their tasty Lobster Roll. This dish is made with fresh lobster tossed in a Key Lime aioli, topped with celery and green onions, and served on a toasted roll. Don’t worry, you won’t be disappointed with this dish as they do not short you on the amount of lobster meat. You may even see a claw or two on your roll!
