St. Pete Beach City Commission District 1 Election

St. Pete Beach Election for District 1 Commissioner This Tuesday

Things are heating up as Terri Finnerty challenges Chris Graus for City Commissioner of District 1 on St. Pete Beach.

Finnerty, who served on the commission for three terms, from 2014 to 2020, told the Beacon, “after giving it much thought, I have decided I do not want to continue to see District #1 decline or stagnate and I believe the residents would like to have immediate responses to their everyday issues and the development of east Corey.” If elected, Finnerty plans to bring a supermarket back to District 1, clean up abandoned properties, improve the beautification and livability of Blind Pass Rd, all in addition to the development of the east end of Corey.

She also wants to share this message with everyone, “Your vote matters this Tuesday 03-15-22 as it will determine the future of our city. Help us protect St. Pete Beach so our children and grandchildren can enjoy it just as we do while keeping the hometown feel of our beach. Thank you to all of you who have reached out letting me know you have voted for me by mail, donated to my campaign, and are committed to seeing me win. I appreciate your support and will see you Tuesday at the polls.”

Chris Graus told the Beacon as a commissioner, “I’ve become more capable and more proficient. I’ve learned and grown in the role of a City Commissioner. Because of that, the amount we’ve have accomplished is both motivating and inspiring. I want to continue to grow and positively impact our community.” If elected, Graus believes there is an opportunity to enrich the lives of the residents. He plans to do that by focusing on the lifestyle amenities; supporting the spring and fall concerts series, markets on Corey Avenue, locating space for more basketball and pickleball courts, and completing other projects that are underway.
